30 Mar Green Class visit the British Museum
Green Class enjoyed an educational visit to the British Museum. The children were able to visit the Greek and Egyptian galleries. The Museum holds the largest collection of Egyptian objects outside Egypt telling the story of life and death in the ancient Nile Valley. We saw the Rosetta Stone, a 5,000-year-old sand-dried mummy, wall paintings from tombs and sculptures of the different pharaohs. It was a great day out and gave us the opportunity to see and handle artefacts in real life, many of which we have discussed in our history lessons.
